Line Cook

Job Description:

Line Cooks play a central role in delivering the quality food experience that guests expect at Old Barn Resort. This position is responsible for preparing menu items to our standards while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and consistency throughout service.

Our Line Cooks work closely with the kitchen and service teams in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a hands-on role that requires focus, pride in your work, and a commitment to supporting the entire restaurant operation.

Job Functions:

  • Prepare menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned workstations.

  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.

  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and service team members during service.

  • Monitor inventory levels at your station and restock as needed.

  • Assist with food prep and additional kitchen tasks as assigned.

  • Support the overall flow and efficiency of the restaurant during busy shifts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 16 years

  • Dependable and team-oriented attitude.

  • Willingness to learn and take direction.

  • Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills and positive mindset.

  • Previous cooking experience preferred but not required.

  • Reliable transportation to and from scheduled shifts.

Working Conditions:

  • Weekend and holiday availability required.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Frequent walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive motions.

  • Ability to lift kitchen supplies and equipment as needed.

  • Fast-paced kitchen environment with periods of high activity.
