Job Description:
Hosts play a key role in creating a great first impression at Old Barn Resort. You’ll be one of the first faces guests see — welcoming diners, answering questions, and helping guests navigate both the restaurant and the resort as a whole.
This role is a mix of guest interaction, communication, and teamwork, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys staying busy and helping others feel comfortable and informed.
Job Functions:
Greet guests as they arrive and help create a welcoming atmosphere
Answer phone calls and assist with general guest questions
Help manage guest flow and wait times during busy periods
Provide clear direction and information for resort guests not dining in the restaurant
Share information about the restaurant, resort amenities, and surrounding area
Assist with food running or other front-of-house needs as needed
Help keep guest areas clean, organized, and inviting
Work closely with the team to ensure guests have a positive overall experience
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum age of 15 years.
Additional Qualifications:
Friendly, positive attitude toward guests and teammates
Comfortable talking with a wide variety of guests
Ability to stay organized and calm in busy situations
Willingness to help wherever needed
Desire to contribute positively to our team culture
Working Conditions:
Weekend and holiday availability is required
Ability to stand and stay active for extended periods
Ability to lift, carry, and move items as needed during a shift
