With direct access points from our resort, you can easily embark on a biking adventure. Keep an eye out for local wildlife and enjoy the vibrant seasonal colors. Trail maps are available at our campground store. Remember to wear helmets and carry water for a safe ride.

Enjoy complimentary access to our heated swimming pool, featuring a convenient stair entry and varying depths suitable for all ages. Open from early May through mid-October, weather permitting.

Challenge yourself at Rivers Bend, our par 70, 18-hole golf course nestled along the Root River and Watson Creek. With bluff-top tee shots and well-guarded greens, precision is key. Signature holes include the peninsula par-3 10th and the dramatic par-5 16th. Tee times are required — book online at Rivers Bend.

Dine in history at The Old Barn Restaurant, housed in our 140-year-old barn. Our menu features award-winning smoked meats, juicy burgers, and vegetarian options. Open spring through the fall, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

Drift along the scenic Root River with a variety of water adventures right from Old Barn Resort. Whether you prefer a relaxing tubing trip, a peaceful canoe ride, or an adventurous kayak paddle, the Root River offers something for everyone. With convenient launch and exit points on our property, it’s easy to get on the water and explore the stunning Driftless scenery. Tubes are available for purchase at our campground store, and an air station is provided for easy inflation. Canoe and kayak rentals are available in nearby Lanesboro. Always check current river conditions and wear a life jacket for safety.

Cast your line in the trout-rich waters of Southeast Minnesota’s Driftless Area, home to some of the finest trout streams in the Midwest. The South Branch of the Root River flows directly through our 200-acre property, offering exceptional trout fishing just steps from your tent or RV. With cold, spring-fed waters, these rivers provide the perfect habitat for brown and rainbow trout, with select streams also supporting native brook trout.
