Golf Ranger

Job Description:

Golf Course Rangers play an important role in protecting the pace of play and overall experience at Rivers Bend Golf Course. This position is responsible for monitoring course flow, supporting golfers throughout their round, and ensuring policies are followed in a respectful and professional manner.

Rangers serve as a visible presence on the course during busy days, helping maintain smooth operations while providing friendly, helpful interactions with guests and members.

This is a hybrid role requiring someone who can be welcoming and approachable, while confidently addressing slow play, group size issues, and other on-course concerns when necessary.

A great fit for confident, respectful individuals who enjoy being outdoors, communicating with people, and maintaining a high-quality golf experience.

Job Functions:

  • Monitor pace of play throughout the course.

  • Address slow play situations in a calm and professional manner.

  • Ensure group sizes and tee time policies are followed.

  • Provide assistance and directions to golfers as needed.

  • Communicate with the clubhouse regarding course conditions or issues.

  • Support starters and staff during busy periods.

  • Serve as a visible and professional presence on the course.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to confidently and respectfully address adults when needed.

  • Comfortable enforcing policies in a professional manner.

  • Positive, level-headed demeanor under pressure.

  • Knowledge of golf etiquette and pace-of-play expectations preferred.

  • Dependable and self-motivated.

  • Reliable transportation to and from scheduled shifts.

Working Conditions:

  • Primary schedule Thursday through Sunday during peak season.

  • Shifts typically mid-morning through mid-afternoon during busy hours.

  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

  • Frequent driving of golf cart across course terrain.

  • Walking, standing, and interacting with golfers throughout shifts.
