Getting to Old Barn Resort

ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
County Rd 17 is open coming down the hill from County Rd 8 (which connects Fountain and Lanesboro).
You may still see “Road Closed to Thru Traffic” signs — but local traffic to Old Barn Resort is allowed. It’s OK to proceed!
🚫 County Rd 17 remains closed coming from Preston.
Campers and guests can now arrive by coming down the hill on 17 and turning onto Heron Rd — Please drive slowly, as crews are still working on the road.
✅ RECOMMENDED DIRECTIONS:
Take County Rd 8 from Fountain or Lanesboro
Turn onto County Rd 17 and head down the hill
Then take a left onto Heron Rd
The resort is just ahead!
🛠️ CONSTRUCTION OVERVIEW
What’s Going On
Starting Monday, May 12, County Rd 17 will undergo a full concrete overlay from County Road 8 to U.S. 52. The project is expected to last 3–4 weeks, completed in two phases:
Phase 1: May 12–19
County Road 17 closes on Monday, May 12.
Heron Road will be fully closed to/from County Road 17
Work will move from County Road 8 down to Heron Road and end just past it around Friday.
Phase 2: Started Friday, May 16
Crews will shift toward Preston, working on the southern portion of County Road 17.
That section of County Road 17 will remain closed for an estimated two additional weeks.
